We started this because we believed business photography could be better.

Not just technically sharper. Better in the way that actually matters — more honest, more human, and more useful to the businesses that need it.

The Wicked Light is a Singapore-based commercial photography studio specialising in corporate portraits, branding, product, food, and event photography. We've been working with businesses across Singapore for 10 years and on — and what keeps us going is the same thing that started it all: a belief that great photography doesn't just document. It communicates.

The People Behind the Lens

Ian Soh — Photographer & Founder

Ian has been building The Wicked Light since 2016 — quietly, deliberately, and with a clear point of view. Before photography, he spent years in sales and marketing, which gave him something most photographers don't have: a genuine understanding of what businesses need from their images, not just technically, but commercially.

His approach is grounded in a simple belief — every photograph has two people in it. The person being photographed, and the person who will one day look at it. Both deserve to be considered.

Nadine Soh — Co-Founder & Business Development

Nadine joined Ian in 2018, bringing with her nearly a decade of experience in product management and corporate buying cycles. Her background is what makes the client side of The Wicked Light run the way it does — structured, responsive, and built around how businesses actually operate.

Between them, they also run The Curious Light — a personal photography studio for families and milestones. Same team, same commitment to authentic photography — just for a different chapter of life.

Most photography studios are set up to take great photos. We're set up to make the whole process easy for the people commissioning them.

That means clear quotes, realistic timelines, and a team that shows up prepared. It means we've thought about what your HR manager needs to approve a team shoot, what your marketing lead needs to brief a product campaign, and what your ops team needs to make an on-site shoot happen without disrupting the business.

We support work with corporate e-invoicing portals, and have handled shoots for organisations large enough to need multiple stations running simultaneously. The logistics side of commercial photography is something we take seriously — because we know it's often what makes or breaks the experience for the person coordinating it.
